Terms of Service

These terms form a binding agreement between you and Slota Technologies Pte. Ltd. governing your use of the Service.

Last updated: 30 May 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Slota staff-scheduling platform and related services (the “Service”) provided by Slota Technologies Pte. Ltd. (“Slota”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

1. The Service

Slota provides cloud-based tools for shift scheduling, time and attendance tracking, team messaging, leave management, and related workforce features. We may add, modify, or remove features from time to time to improve the Service.

2. Accounts & eligibility

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account.
  • You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Plans, billing & trials

  • The Service is offered under the plans described on our pricing page. The Starter plan is free for the stated number of employees; paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis.
  • Unless stated otherwise, fees are exclusive of applicable taxes (including Singapore GST), which you are responsible for paying.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Except as required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. We may change pricing on reasonable prior notice, effective from your next billing period.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service unlawfully or in breach of any applicable employment, labour, or data-protection law;
  • Upload malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or disrupt the Service;
  • Reverse-engineer, resell, or sublicense the Service except as expressly permitted;
  • Upload personal data of others without a lawful basis and any required consent;
  • Use the Service to send unlawful, harassing, or infringing content.

5. Customer data & responsibilities

You retain all rights in the data you and your team submit to the Service (“Customer Data”). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and transmit Customer Data solely to provide and support the Service. As between you and us, you are the controller of the workforce personal data in your account and are responsible for:

  • Having a lawful basis (and any necessary employee consent) to collect and process that data;
  • Informing your employees about features such as GPS geofencing and facial-recognition clock-in before enabling them;
  • Responding to your employees’ data access and correction requests.

Our handling of personal data is further described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Slota and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription. No rights are granted except as expressly stated.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, cloud hosting, authentication, email delivery, and payment processing) and may integrate with third-party products. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, security, or to comply with law, and will seek to give reasonable notice where practicable.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are responsible for verifying that schedules, timesheets, and pay calculations meet your legal and operational requirements.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slota will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Slota harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your Customer Data, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or fail to pay fees when due. On termination, your right to use the Service ceases; we will make Customer Data available for export for a reasonable period before deletion, subject to our backup and legal-retention periods.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. The courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email, and will take effect on the date stated in the notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
